어떤 장소나 상황에서 편히 있다는 뜻과 피신 또는 어떤 일을 하기 위해 한 장소에 오래 머물 준비를 한다는 뜻이 있다.

쭈구려 앉는다는 뜻도 있는데 위 의미들은 거기서 파생되지 않았나 싶다.
